Sylvia Lois Mobley

Sylvia L. Mobley, 83, a precious, beloved wife, mother, and grandmom, a resident of Garden Spot Village, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025.

She was married 62 years to Roger M. Mobley. Born in Abington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Ethel Furness Hinkle.

Sylvia has worked in Financial Aid at Schools for most of her working years. She was a graduate of Millersville University. Her faith was very important to her, and she was a member of Grace Family Church in New Holland, where she had worked in the nursery and taught Sunday School for many years. She had volunteered at the Re-Uzit Shop and enjoyed reading, puzzles, cross stitch, and traveling. She absolutely adored her granddaughters, and they meant the world to her.

Surviving besides her husband is a son, Pete husband of Lulu Mobley of Philadelphia; two daughters, Kristen wife of Craig Veacock of East Earl, and Chris wife of George Shatzer of Greencastle, two granddaughters, Elizabeth Veacock and McKenzie Shatzer; and a sister, Linda Peri of Harleysville.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Family Church, 415 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA with Pastor Cory Murphy officiating. Interment in Petra Memorial Park, New Holland, PA. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
