T. Charles Leakey

T. Charles Leakey, 64, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Ephrata, he was the son of Louise Barnes Leakey of Blue Ball, and the late Harold David Leakey.

Charles last worked for Dicks Sporting Goods in Reading. Prior to that he had been a mason for many years. He was a 1977 graduate of Garden Spot High School. Charles was a member of Terre Hill Bible Fellowship Church and the Cocalico Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Steelers fan.

Surviving besides his mother are two sons, Travis Leakey of Blue Ball, and Jeremiah Leakey of Karthaus; a daughter, Caryn Zapata of Lancaster; three sisters, Janet wife of Buddy Fasnacht of Denver, Lottie wife of Ben Smith of York, and Lestie Green of Henry, VA; and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, PA with the Rev. Kevin Kirkpatrick officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
