Thelma P. Bensinger

Thelma P. Bensinger, 85, of 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, formerly of New Holland, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Brethren Village.

Born in Millersville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Hecker) Poole. Her husband, Clyde C. Bensinger, died March 3, 2003, after 54 years of marriage.

Thelma worked as a secretary for RCA and later for New Holland Machine Co.

She was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ.

Surviving are three daughters, Sharon Flora of Ephrata, Christine, married to Richard S. Martin of East Earl, and Kathy, married to Kirby Nauman of Manheim; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are four sisters and one brother.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at 11 am at St. Stephen U.C.C., 249 E. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 with the Reverend David Goode officiating. Private interment in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Stephen U.C.C., (address above), or to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
