Titus E. Landis, 90, formerly of Pearl St., Lancaster, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at LutherCare, Lititz, where he had resided since 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary A. (Rohrbach) Landis in 2005.
Born in Bowmansville, he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Elizabeth (Brubaker) Landis. He had served in the U.S. Army 34th Infantry Division during WWII.
Titus retired from Trojan Yacht in 1987 after 30 years and formerly had worked at Kreider Brothers Planing Mill, Witmer.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a train collector and a member of the V.F.W.
Surviving is a son David E. Landis of Lititz.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Laverne Hurst, Miriam Beaston and Eleanor Divine and his brother, J. Robert Landis.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Chapel of the Good Samaritan at Luther Acres, Lititz, with the Rev. David Kreider officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Holland. There will be a visitation from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. before the service at the Chapel. If desired, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Central PA Chapter, 204 Butler Ave., Suite 102, Lancaster, PA 17601. Arrangements are with Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
