Tracy J. Marchini, 55, of 1380 Sheep Hill Rd., East Earl, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center. She was married for 30 years to David P. Marchini.
Born in Hooversville, Somerset County, she was the daughter of Wanetta Secrest Escherich of Stoystown and the late David L. Escherich.
She was a Vocational Agricultural Education teacher in the Eastern Lancaster County, PA School District and an FFA Advisor for the Grassland FFA Chapter. She was the Eastern Region Vice President of the PA Assoc. of Agricultural Educators, on the Praxis Agricultural Standardized Testing Design Committee, and a certified instructor for the PA Game Commission’s Safe Hunter Course. She was an active member of Bethany Grace Fellowship Church since 1988, including its Children’s Ministry, Sunday School, and Women’s Ministry.
Her passions included helping young people realize their potential, horticulture, gardening, birding, hiking, nature, and dogs.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons: James Kevin, East Earl and his girlfriend, Alli Lambert, Guthriesville; Matthew John, East Earl; and a brother David Scott Escherich, Red Lodge, MT.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Bethany Grace Fellowship, 400 Reading Rd., East Earl with Pastors Chris Smeltz and Adam Nagle officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from Noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tracy’s name to PA FFA Grassland Chapter , c/o Garden Spot High School, 669 E. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com.
