Vera U. Kustek

Vera U. Kustek, 97, of Auburn, PA formerly of New Holland, passed away at home on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Matthew Kustek who died in 2005. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Anna Richter Scholz. Vera was a survivor of WW II and came to the United State is 1957.

Vera was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New Holland. For many years Vera cleaned the church and attended every function of the church that she could. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and feeding the birds.

Surviving is a daughter, Gina Kustek-McWilliams wife of Michael Minicozzi of Auburn; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a sister Susanne Trimper of New Holland. She was preceded in death by siblings, Rudolf Scholz, Lydia Vilardi and Erich Scholz.

A Mass of Christin Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 30, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water Street, New Holland, PA with Father Stephen Fauser as Celebrant. The family will greet friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata, PA
