Verna (Kohl) Davidheiser, 84, of Narvon, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Ephrata Manor, Ephrata. She was the wife of the late Floyd Davidheiser, who died in 1961.
Born March 4, 1931, in Narvon, PA, Verna was a daughter of the late Norman Kohl and Rebecca Styer Fox.
Verna worked as a kitchen aid at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center in Narvon for over 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting, trapping, attending flea markets, dancing, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara R. Houck, wife of Glenn, of Narvon; a granddaughter, Jamey Saner, of Narvon; a grandson, Travis Houck, of Narvon; 3 great-grandchildren: Daniel Saner, Cheyenne Saner-Jones, and Dawson Saner-Jones; and her beloved dogs, Elsie and George. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, PA. Interment will follow at Center Union Cemetery, East Earl. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10-11 AM prior to services. Arrangements by Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
