Viola B. Hartz

Viola B. Hartz, 79, formerly of New Holland, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Lancashire Hall.

Born in Talmage, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Barbara (Brubacher) Martin.

Viola worked at the Shady Maple Bake Shop, retiring in 2003 after 18 years.

She was a member of Bridgeville E. C. Church and enjoyed country music.

Surviving are four siblings: Raymond B. Martin, Anna McComsey, Mabel Sensenig, David B. Martin.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings: Jesse, Joseph, Floyd, Emanuel, William B., John, Mervin, Paul Martin and a sister Elsie Shupp.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland. Interment will be in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Beck’s on Monday from 9 – 10 a.m. Condolences may be posted at www.beckfuneral.com.
