Violet Gehman

Violet Gehman, 82, of 2499 Zerbe Rd., Narvon, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Harvest View at Zerbe Sisters.

Born in Bowmansville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lizzie (Good) Gehman.

Violet worked for 20 years at Weaver’s Poultry and 10 years at Weaver’s Market, retiring in 2001.

She was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church and enjoyed puzzles, word searches, coloring books, and butterflies.

Surviving are five siblings: Betty Martin, widow of Wayne, New Holland; Bernice Gehman, West Reading; Raymond married to Elaine Gehman, Denver; Reta Krick, Bowmansville and Richard Gehman, Bowmansville and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Chester, Edna, Webster and Robert Gehman.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 10 a.m. at Bowmansville Mennonite Church with Pastor Larry Weber officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9 – 10 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
