Virginia M. London

Virginia M. “Gee Gee” London, 74, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest London.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Newman) Hyden.

Gee Gee worked in various factories throughout her life. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Coatesville.

Surviving are three children: Gerald A. “Jere” Boots, Jr. married to Ginny, New Holland; Gary Lee Boots, Arkansas; and Quinnzela Boots, Mountville; 33 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Boots, a daughter Eunice Watson, a stillborn daughter Bernadette and two sisters, Dolores “Tainy” Taggart and Beverly “Joan” Newman.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 1916 Lincoln Hwy. East, Lancaster. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com.
