Virginia P. Walton

Virginia P. Walton, 71, of Narvon, died after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Howard S. and Alta (Wright) Walton. Her husband, Thomas Earl Walton, died about 28 years ago.

Virginia was a homemaker and attended Meadville Mennonite Church where she was active in the ladies group. She enjoyed jigsaw and word puzzles and was an Elvis fan.

Surviving are six children, Thomas H., married to Kathy (Frisby) Walton of Narvon, Virginia L., married to Alvin Blank of New Holland, Michael D. Walton of New Holland, Robert E. Walton of Oxford, and Julia L. and Shirley A. Walton both at home; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers; and four sisters.

Preceding her in death is a son, Tobias Walton in 2010; three brothers; and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28 at 11 am at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland. Interment will be in the Meadville Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 – 11 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Beck Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
