W. Richard Good

W. Richard Good, 66, of New Holland, went home to his Lord and Savior Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia after a brief illness.

Born in Morgantown, he was the son of the late Walter R. and Ruth (Petersheim) Good. He would have been married 42 years on August 21 to Sandra (Mast) Good.

He graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1965 and later attended Eastern Mennonite College.

Rich retired in August 2010 after 40 years in the Banking industry. His career began with New Holland Farmers National Bank and continued with Blue Ball National Bank, then Community Banks, and ended with Susquehanna Bank.

Rich attended Petra Christian Fellowship in New Holland and was a member of the Gap Male Chorus. He enjoyed antique cars, traveling, going to the gym, following the stock market, singing and listening to music and most of all, spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Stephanie M. Good of New Holland, and Lisa M. Good and her fiancé, Matthew Pape both of Lancaster; two brothers and a sister, Glenn L., married to Faye (Weaver) Good of Leola, Elaine, married to Pat Riley of Pasadena, CA, and Linford, married to Velma (Brubaker) Good of Lancaster.

Preceding him in death is a sister, Ruth Ann Weatherholtz.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10 at 11 am at Petra Christian Fellowship, 565 Airport Road, New Holland with the Reverend Lester Zimmerman, the Reverend Titus Kauffman, and the Reverend Dan Althouse officiating. Interment will be held at the Petra Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Saturday 10-11 am all at Petra Christian Fellowship.
