Walter M. Kurtz

Walter M. Kurtz passed away at the age of 71 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon, PA on Thursday, August 16, 2018.

He was born February 3, 1947 in Lancaster to the late Stephen M. and Vera (Stoltzfus) Kurtz.

He was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown.

Walter was employed as a truck driver until his retirement.

He enjoyed attending WIOV Country Music Festivals, getting together with family, woodworking, riding his Harley, and most of all driving his Ford Mustang, Shelby, King of the Road, Limited Collector’s Edition.

He is survived by his step-mother, Mabel (Beiler) Kurtz, one sister Rodella (Luke) Weaver, and three brothers, Leonard (Pat) Kurtz, James Kurtz, Kenneth (Chris) Kurtz, five nephews and two nieces.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown with Pastor Andy Horvath officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Elverson. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
