Wesley Hershey

Wesley “Bud” Hershey, 86, of Reinholds, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. His wife of 61 years, June D. (Burkholder) Hershey, survives.

Born in Paradise, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mayme (Buckwalter) Hershey.

Bud worked in construction and enjoyed motorcycling, horseback riding, hunting, farming and sitting in the sun.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children: Jerry Hershey, New Holland; Wendell married to Sandra Hershey, West Virginia; David Hershey and his girlfriend Margie May, Reinholds; Sheri married to Terry Hackman, New Holland; a grandson Weston Hershey, West Virginia; a brother Louis Hershey, Ligonier and two sisters, Maddie Davidson and Elva Styer, both of Lititz.

He was preceded in death by six siblings: Alma, Reba, Verna, Parke, Calvin, and Erma.

His funeral will be private with burial in Memory Gardens. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
