William A. Crane

William A. Crane, 96, of New Holland, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Ephrata Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Bartlow) Crane, Garden Spot Village, New Holland. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ruby (Anderson) Crane. William was a supervisor in the boiler shop at Gulf Oil. He had served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Donna Clifford of Wallingford, PA, a grandson David Clifford, serving in the U.S. Navy, a granddaughter, Heather Monaco of Claymont, DE, and a great granddaughter Joella Monaco. He was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Crane in 2007. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, with Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. Private interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
