William P. Fornwalt

William P. Fornwalt, III, 52, of Leola, formerly of Johnstown, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Johnstown, he was the son of Judith (Foltin) Fornwalt of Johnstown, and the late William P. Fornwalt, Jr.

William worked 24 years with maintenance at Dart Container in Leola.

He loved Formula I racing and formerly played Bass in several Johnstown area bands.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a longtime friend, Darlene Ressler of Leola; two brothers, Michael Fornwalt of Johnstown and David Fornwalt of Daytona Beach, FL; a sister, Jennifer Fornwalt of Johnstown; a nephew John; two nieces, Alysa and Meredith; a great niece, Rayah; a great nephew, Jude; and a very special friend, Carlee.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 11 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 430 Tioga St., Johnstown, PA with Fr. Mark S. Begly officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 9:30 – 10:30 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.
