William C.
Gable, Jr.
May 24, 1952 – February 28, 2026
William C. “Bill” Gable, Jr., a lifelong resident of the New Holland and Blue Ball communities, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born to the late William C. Gable, Sr. and Janet L. Gable, Bill graduated from Garden Spot High School in 1969 and attended Muhlenberg College. His career included early work in information technology, with 25 years at Blue Ball National Bank before taking his vast skill set to other management and technology positions.
Bill lived life to the fullest, led with passion, and was anchored by his faith, family, service, and music. He was a devoted partner and an amazing dad. He was blessed with dear friendships strengthened in worship, on the fairway, and through music and community. Bill participated in the New Holland Jaycees, multiple choral groups, and served on many leadership teams, including the New Holland Area Historical Society. Bill’s icing on the cake was his fellowship with Razzmatazz, a well-known barbershop quartet that performed for anyone that would host their comedic energy-packed musical performances over their 37 years of brotherhood.
Bill is survived by his cherished partner, Carol L. Buncie, his two loving daughters, Katie Gable and Becky Peiffer, wife of Andrew Peiffer, and his beloved grandson, Benjamin Peiffer. He is also survived by his mother, Janet Gable, and sisters, Nancy Gable and Lynn Fry, wife of John Fry.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA 17557. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will be held until the time of the service. In Bill’s honor, feel free to wear loud, colorful, or even tie-dyed garb.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to the New Holland Area Historical Society, P.O. Box 464, New Holland PA, 17557, which would please Bill immensely.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
