William R. Hazelton

William R. Hazelton, Jr., 81, of New Holland, died Sunday, January 6, 2012 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William R., Sr., and Mary (Smith) Hazelton. He was married 37 years on June 5 to Joan B. (McCleland) Hazelton.

William worked for 43 years as a salesman for Strawbridge in Philadelphia retiring in 1990.

He was a former member of the Faith Community Church in Roslyn and was currently attending Community Church at Garden Spot Village.

During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sandra, married to Stephen Lindsey of Leola, and Lynn Elizabeth, married to Seth Foster of Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 10 at 2 pm at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland with the Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
