William T. Lutz, 77, of New Holland, passed away at home on October 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. William was born in Reading, to his late parents, John E. and Beatrice G. (Hillsworth) Lutz. His beloved wife, Teresa A. (Huyett) Lutz, survives at home.
William was a proud US Marine Corp veteran. He served honorably during the Vietnam War, receiving two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. After discharge from his military service, he worked as a welder at Morgan Truck Bodies. An avid outdoorsman, William enjoyed hunting and fishing and gardening. William loved his family deeply. William’s favorite pastime was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with Teresa.
In addition to Teresa at home, William is survived by his daughter, Shawna Moyer and her husband Shawn, of Denver, and a grandson, Dakota L. Moyer. He is also survived by his brother, John Lutz.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his sister, Joan Huyett.
A private graveside inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery, Honey Brook.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
