William R. Pfautz, 64, of Ephrata, passed away on November 29, 2025 in his residence.

Born in Fredericksburg, VA, he was the son of the late Robert D. Pfautz Sr. and Shirley (Shenk) Pfautz.

He was the husband of Lois A. (Sauder) Pfautz, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

He was a member of Hahnstown United Zion Church, a member of Fivepointville Fire Company, where he held the position of Captain and Safety Officer for many years and a member of the Fivepointville Ambulance Association in more recent years.

William is survived by his wife, Lois, his children, Katherine E. Smith of Alabama, Janice R. wife of Brandon L. Snyder of Kutztown and Harvey S. husband of Abigail R. Pfautz of Blue Ball, six grandchildren and siblings, John Pfautz of Neffsville, Howard husband of Rita Pfautz of Ephrata and Anna Pfautz of Ephrata.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert D. Pfautz Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Hahnstown United Zion Church, 900 Glenwood Drive, Ephrata PA 17522. Viewings will be held for one hour prior to the service on Thursday and on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private interment will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
