Willis S. Nolt

Willis S. Nolt, 89, formerly of Quarryville, died Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata. His wife of 66 years, Margaret B. (Eberly) Nolt, survives.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Noah Martin and Anna B. (Sensenig) Nolt.

Willis was a farmer and a member of Fairmount Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Additionally, he was a founding member and volunteer for over 30 years for Wakefield Ambulance Association, 2272 Robert Fulton Hwy, Peach Bottom.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children: Lynette (Nolt) Zimmerman Hoover, Leesport, Dwayne married to Sandra (Martin) Nolt, Myerstown, Merrill married to Mary Faye (Good) Nolt, Quarryville, Dwight married to Sharon (Horning) Nolt, Lafayette Hill, Melanie (Nolt) married to Arnold Martin, New Holland, Lydell Nolt, Holtwood, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, siblings Marian S. (married to Ivan Hursh, Elva Mae Seibel, and Kathryn S. married to Mervin E. Martin and sisters-in-law Vera (Martin) Nolt and Martha (Weaver) Nolt.

He was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Nelson B. Zimmerman and Elam G. Hoover, Jr., and three brothers, David S. Nolt, Jonas S. and his wife Anna (Sensenig) Nolt, Marvin S. Nolt, and a brother-in-law Irvin Z. Seibel.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Fairmount Mennonite Church, Quarryville, with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman, Clair Hurst, Delmar Nolt, and Thane Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel, Ephrata. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland, is in charge of arrangements.
