Meet Our Caring Staff

Michaeline Rogers has been with Groff-High-Eckenroth Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director since May of 2021.

Her parents had gotten a Siberian Husky, Simba, right before she was born so she had grown up with a dog. After he passed, it was quite a few years without a dog in their household, until they decided they needed to have another husky. That is when Shanook came along and they had him for nine wonderful years until he unexpectedly passed away in September of 2024. Michaeline had decided to utilize cremation for Shanook’s disposition. In October of 2024, she decided to get in contact with a local husky rescue, 3 Husketeers Rescue, and donate several of Shanook’s treat and bones that she still had. In December of 2024, the rescue received a 6-month-old husky, Sequoyah, that was surrendered by his owner, and it was love at first sight for Michaeline and she just had to have him.

Michaeline and her fiancé, Grant Stoltzfus, had unexpectedly adopted another husky from the rescue, Sumac, after the boys instantly bonded. Sumac was diagnosed with epilepsy, which was being controlled with medications, until just recently the seizures came multiple times a day and unfortunately had to make the decision that his condition was not a good quality of life for him and ultimately entrusting our pet cremation services for her own fur baby.

Experiencing her own loss, Michaeline finds it to be a great honor and privilege helping families through such a difficult time as losing a pet truly is like losing a member of the family.

Randy Stoltzfus joined Groff-High-Eckenroth Funeral Home in October of 2017, as a licensed funeral home.

Soon after he married his wife, Melanie, she decided they needed to have a dog in their life, so they adopted Bear, a black lab.

Bear was the start of three labs that they have had in their lives, Bennette and Abby, both yellow labs.

Abby was the most influential on their family as Abby was raised with their three sons.

After Abby had to be put down due to the rapid onset of Cushing’s disease, their family couldn’t be without a dog in their household, so Gracie came along.

Gracie, a schnauzer yorkie mix and was rescued from the Humane League in Lancaster.

Gracie’s perfect day is taking a good nap on the couch, looking for bunnies in the backyard and eating as many treats as possible!
